Champions League Final Moved To Lisbons Estadio Da Luz

2020 UEFA Champions League Final

Champions League final moved to Lisbon's Estádio da Luz

The 2020 UEFA Champions League Final was played between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich on 23 August 2020 at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon, Portugal. Bayern Munich won the match 1–0, winning their sixth Champions League title and their second treble.

The final was originally scheduled to be played at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey on 30 May 2020, but was postponed and moved to Lisbon due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe. The match was played behind closed doors, with no spectators present.

Bayern Munich win sixth Champions League title

Bayern Munich won their sixth Champions League title, their first since 2013, after beating Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 in the final. The only goal of the game was scored by Kingsley Coman in the 59th minute. The victory gave Bayern their second treble, having also won the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal in 2019-20.

PSG were appearing in their first Champions League final, and they were looking to become the first French club to win the trophy since Marseille in 1993. However, they were unable to find a way past Bayern Munich's defence, and they were ultimately defeated.

The victory was a fitting end to a remarkable season for Bayern Munich, who won all six of their Champions League matches in 2019-20. They were the dominant team throughout the tournament, and they deservedly lifted the trophy.

PSG will be disappointed not to have won their first Champions League title, but they can be proud of their performance in the tournament. They were the underdogs going into the final, but they pushed Bayern Munich all the way. They will be hoping to go one better next season and win the trophy for the first time.
